My love of writing fiction grew out of a desire to share stories that can communicate the truths of the Christian faith, and entertain, as well as bring inspiration, healing, and hope to the reader.
For most of my life I’ve been immersed in the founding of our nation, so I was thrilled several years ago to move to the historic triangle of Virginia, (Yorktown – Jamestown – Williamsburg). Before that, I spent many years in northern Virginia and California. As the daughter of a naval officer, I also had an opportunity to grow up in a variety of interesting places.
I’ve always loved to read, particularly the works of Jane Austin, Elizabeth Gaskill, Catherine Cookson, Charlotte Bronte, and Margaret Mitchell among others. The desire to write didn’t come until I left the business world to have children. It was then while I had two regular columns in local newspapers and was doing some freelancing, that I felt the call to write historical fiction.
My husband and I have a wonderful blended family of three children, their spouses, and ten grandchildren. Our sons and son-in-law all serve in the armed forces.
Serving in leadership in Community Bible Study (CBS), an interdenominational international ministry for thirty-six years has been an incredible blessing. For nine of those years, I was also employed at the ministry’s National Service Center.
I am a member of the Colonial American Christian Writers, Tidewater Christian Writers, American Christian Fiction Writers, and a contributor to Colonial Quills. Linda Glaz of Linda S. Glaz Literary Agency represents me.
I was recently interviewed about my writing journey and books by Stacy Horan on her podcast, The Bookshop At The End Of The Internet.
I hope to serve God through my writing, and that you will enjoy and be blessed by the books which will be featured on this site.

Janet
